"I cannot remember one single time where his opinions were in any way discredited by even the most competent defense lawyers. I can think of several occasions where the opposing counsel in some of my cases actually sought to hire Dr. Bowles in their other cases."
Practice Areas
Economic Damages
Injury. Our team has the experience and credentials to opine on the complete set of relevant issues: pre-injury earning capacity, residual earning capacity, worklife and life expectancies, household services, and medical expenses.
Death. Through our years of experience, we understand the different damage frameworks in the various states (e.g., Utah vs. Montana). Consequently, we can often provide helpful insights concerning economic damages in death and/or survivor actions.
Employment. Again, through experience we understand the relevant damage issues in employment cases involving FLSA, contract and/or discrimination claims.
Vocational Evaluations
Having a certified vocational rehabilitation specialist (CRC) on staff as well as an economist with training in vocational economics allows our team to rigorously address the issue of residual earning capacity.
A key element of Bowles Group Experts is integrating three experts under one roof. Quality and efficiency benefits follow from this structure. The attorney can decide if she wants to integrate the economic, vocational, and life care opinions into one report or three separate reports. But even in the latter, our experts carefully integrate their analysis.
Life Care Plans and Life Expectancy
Personal injury and medical malpractice cases may include an element of damages for future medical and/or life care expenses. Our certified life care planner's distinctive training - a practicing physician with formal training in economics (BS) and statistics (MS) - intersects the typical questions relevant to this damage element. He also works closely with our economics and vocational experts on the cost and need of personal assistance, if any.
Lost Profits
Tyler J. Bowles brings both the analytical skills of a Ph.D. economist and practical tools of a Certified Public Accountant to lost profits analysis. Further, he has extensive experience in commercial disputes across a variety of industries, including construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and professional services.
"The judge commented that Dr. Bowles is well-known in the courts and is respected and trusted by other judges. I certainly agree with the judge and I know both the plaintiff and defense bar agree."
